Mark your calendars! The annual KEGS Symposium will be held in person on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, in Toronto, Canada—the day before the start of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention. 2026 will mark its 25th anniversary!
At this time KEGS invites you to submit an abstract on the following suggested topics:
- Geophysics in Challenging Environments - Innovations for Arctic, jungle, and urban environments. Tackling logistical and technical challenges in remote or infrastructure-heavy areas.
- Brownfields and Near-Mine Exploration - Targeted geophysical surveys to extend mine life and enhance resource expansion near existing operations.
- Critical Minerals and Strategic Resources - Geophysical strategies for locating lithium, rare earths, and other essential commodities for the energy transition.
- Case Studies and Innovation - Machine learning, cloud computing, and data fusion transforming how we interpret geophysical data. Collaborative innovation driving new tools, methods, and applications in mining and exploration geophysics.
We are pleased to include a student poster session as part of the KEGS symposium. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their research, connect with industry professionals, and gain exposure to current geophysical challenges and innovations.
